About us

Falk Eel Canning is a food company based at Berging in The Osmoor. The company was founded on 7 October 1931 by Rosa Falk and has traded for 59 years.

Falk Eel Canning — Berging — eel in tins, smoked and pickled. The name on the tin is the name on the gate.

Our founder. Rosa Falk, farm labourer, was born at Altwald on 31 December 1881 and died on 2 May 1945.

Our history

Dates are as entered in the register of companies at the Ministry of Finance.

1. 1931 The company is founded at Berging.
2. 1934 Falk Eel Canning lists on the Vellmar Exchange as FLK. In the press.
3. 1953 Brenn & Gilhor, Masons is acquired by Falk Eel Canning. In the press.

What we do

Falk Eel Canning operates in the food trade, serving Berging and the surrounding country. Particulars of current lines are available on application to the registered office.

We make and supply eel in tins, smoked and pickled. Ask your dealer, or telephone the works at Berging.

We take on staff throughout the year. Current vacancies are on Stellenmarkt; ask us about working here. Applications in writing to the registered office, stating age, trade and Marsh Regiment service if any. A labourer's day is paid at not less than the published rate of 574.46 marka.

Falk Eel Canning is quoted on the Vellmar Exchange as FLK since 1934. Last year-end close: 3,088.11 marka (31 December 1990). The Exchange publishes year-end closes only.
